SMU PRSSA hosted the 4th Annual Communications Career Workshop, inviting professionals in communications, public relations and business to advise students on breaking into the industry and building their careers after college. The event included mock interviews, resume reviews and roundtable discussions with students. The key-note speaker, Nancy Voith CRA Managing Director, spoke about the importance of standing out amongst applicants and building a unique portfolio out of experiences.
Everything from transitioning to the working world, life in an agency vs. corporate and effective media relations were discussed and students were given the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the industry. To see photos of the event, visit our gallery.
