Be sure to come out to the Life in an Agency panel this Tuesday. We are bringing in a panel of public relations specialists from agencies in the Dallas area including GollinHarris, Allison+Partners, Edelman, Moroch, and Hill+Knowlton. Come out and get answers to any questions you have about working in an agency as an intern and after you graduate.

Ashley Wilemon has been the Vice President-Corporate at Edelman for a little over a year now.  After graduating from Boston University with a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations, she worked as a Group Manager at Weber Shandwick for about seven years.  Ashley supports the corporate practice for Edelman’s Southwest Region by providing strategic communications and branding counsel.  She oversees planning and execution for campaigns and projects on behalf of clients across a variety of industries.

SMU graduate, Cari Perez is a Communication Specialist at Moroch.  She currently works on the Account Service team for McDonalds of North Texas.  Previous to Moroch, she worked as an Executive Assistant at Bradford Public Relations. Cari’s specialties include social media strategy, event and product marketing, media relations, client relations, and public affairs.

Vice President at Allison + Partners, Matt Averitt, has more than 15 years of experience in building brands through corporate reputation, product marketing, and management.  Averitt’s experience spans many different industries, including technology, oil & gas, professional services, chemicals, hospitality, food and beverage, healthcare, consumer goods, and insurance.  Previous to Allison + Partners, Matt Averitt has held upper level positions at MWW Group, Burson-Marsteller, Trinity Public Relations, Publicis Dialog, and GolinHarris.

Each of these panelists come from different backgrounds and experience levels so they will be able to offer their own unique perspectives on what Life in an Agency means to them.
